While there are many factors that could cause overweight, one of which relates to a positive balance between calories consumed and calories burned. It is therefore important that when you start a diet, start to control the calories of different foods and meals. To begin, we will tell you how many calories you should have a light lunch or low calorie. Don’t miss it!
We all know that after breakfast, lunch is the most important meal of the day, even if you’re dieting. Lunch should represent between 30-35% of total caloric value, and as the day the amount of calories provided in the different meals should be smaller.
But these percentages should be reflected in the food of all the days, therefore you need to know how many calories should represent a light lunch in the total daily calories.
The calories of a light lunch will depend on the amount of calories you consume daily. If you want to make a balanced diet, such as 1200 calories, which has a distribution of 6 meals, the calories that should provide a light lunch, would amount to around 420 calories (that is to say 35% of the total caloric value, in this case 1200 calories).
These calories could be represented in these examples of menu:
- 1 cup of broth light 0% calories. 1 portion of fish to the paprika with a portion of purple cabbage low in calories and a small apple.
- 1 cup of broth light 0% calories. 1 portion of spinach tortilla omelette low in calorie. 1 portion of salad. 1 medium orange.
- 1 cup of broth light 0% calories. 1 portion of pasta salad. 1 portion of light vanilla ice cream with 2 slices of pineapple.
Besides counting calories, it is important that you consider the size of the portions and quality of food you consume. You prefer small and medium-sized portions, and choose foods with more fiber and less calories, which will provide low calorific value and increase your satiety.
Remember that the calories that should bring a lunch low in calories, you must be between 30 to 35% of the total caloric value that you have allowed during the day.
